Who this applies to

This policy applies to merchants, team members, developers, and anyone acting on a merchant's behalf while using Aelith Pay. Merchants remain responsible for the conduct of the people, storefronts, wallets, applications, and integrations they connect to the service.

Prohibited products and services

You may not use Aelith Pay for products, services, or transactions that are illegal, deceptive, exploitative, or unreasonably risky for customers, Shopify, blockchain networks, or Aelith Pay.

Illegal goods, illegal services, or activity that violates applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or enforcement actions.
Sanctions evasion, money laundering, terrorist financing, or transactions involving blocked persons, blocked wallets, or prohibited jurisdictions.
Fraud, scams, impersonation, counterfeit goods, infringement, deceptive marketing, charge abuse, or attempts to mislead customers or counterparties.
Harassment, hate, exploitation, abuse, or services that facilitate violence, coercion, or non-consensual activity.

Platform and security abuse

You may not abuse the service, interfere with other users, or attempt to bypass security, billing, compliance, or access controls.

Unauthorized access, credential theft, phishing, malware, scraping restricted data, or attempts to probe, disable, or circumvent platform safeguards.
Use of stolen payment credentials, stolen wallets, unauthorized Shopify stores, or infrastructure you do not control or have permission to operate.
Manipulating logs, webhooks, refund flows, payout settings, KYC or KYB data, rate limits, or risk controls to hide conduct or create false records.
Using the service in a way that degrades reliability, creates abusive traffic, or interferes with Shopify, customer, or network operations.

Blockchain and payment-specific restrictions

Blockchain payments introduce additional fraud, sanctions, and irreversibility risk. Merchants must only request payments they are authorized to receive and must use supported wallets, tokens, and settlement instructions accurately.

Do not route payments to wallets you are not authorized to control.
Do not misrepresent token support, exchange value, settlement timing, or refund rights.
Do not use mixers, obfuscation techniques, or other transaction patterns intended to conceal prohibited conduct.
Do not issue receipts, payment records, or metadata that contain unlawful content or sensitive customer data you should not publish.

Shopify and integration obligations

When using Shopify with Aelith Pay, merchants must comply with Shopify requirements in addition to this policy.

Connect only stores, domains, apps, and admin accounts you own or are authorized to manage.
Keep Shopify app scopes, webhook endpoints, redirect URLs, refund settings, and store details accurate.
Do not use Aelith Pay to bypass Shopify review, payment restrictions, policy enforcement, or merchant onboarding requirements.
Promptly cooperate with requests related to app review, payment investigations, refund disputes, customer data handling, or compliance checks.

Monitoring and enforcement

Aelith Pay may investigate suspected violations, request additional information, limit features, delay payouts or refunds, suspend integrations, remove hosted pages, or terminate access when necessary to protect the service or comply with legal obligations.

Serious or repeated violations may be reported to Shopify, service providers, legal authorities, or other relevant counterparties when appropriate.

To report suspected abuse or ask whether an activity is permitted, contact Aelith Pay at support@aelith.ai and include the merchant account email, Shopify shop domain if relevant, wallet address, and a short description of the issue.
